Hoy es mi cumpleaños

Last year I spent my birthday in Panama with several people who became very special friends during my visit. They gave me a wonderful party. In English we say “I am this many years old” but in Spanish they say, “I have this many years”. Instead of the years slipping away, you are collecting them. I found that different perspective to be refreshing. I have so much. Gracias a Dios.

EchonestIn 2006 I published future music innovations. The ability to change the rhythm of music was a predicted innovation. At the Music Hack A Day event Echo Nest presented a new Open Source tool kit allows you to modify music in a wide variety of ways. Expect to see apps for smart phones soon.

TechDirtMy article Abundance Based Intellectual Property System is being discussed at TechDirt. The fundamental point is that R&D is different from manufacturing and marketing. For a system to promote innovation it must reward those two different tasks separately. And the best system aligns all parties instead of pitting them against each other.
